This is what Sanreet had to say about this visit :

The summer program has been an eye opening, culturally enriching experience. Before this trip, I was never much of a traveler. Stumbling on this opportunity and going to the Carleton University for this program has not only opened my eyes to the world to travel, but to diverse world of cultures and ways of life and experiences that I never would have experienced if had I stayed back in Punjab. The most valuable thing that I’m going to bring back with me on campus is an informed perspective. Having lived a new culture, with unique traditions and interesting experiences, I feel like my perspective has been broadened past what it was coming into this summer. Within a broadened perspective, I believe I will be better equipped to understand the intricacies of certain discussions within the class, intricacies that I otherwise would’ve glanced over.

Additionally, my experience has had an impact on my future both academically and professionally. I’ve expanded my knowledge of business strategies (Business Model Canvas), International business, (International buyer behaviour, International Market), Business across Cultures, Globalisation, Ethics and Psychology of Decision-Making, International Negotiating and Entrepreneurship in ways I also never would have expected. Much of my work was my own decision- the internship is so flexible and free-form that you get to decide which startups and which projects you can work at. At multiple times in the internship I found myself working in different projects, all incredibly different and all great ways for me to learn. I have worked on Entrepreneurship Case Study which included business model Canvas, SWOT template and PESTEL. My Experience with Professor Micheal Weatherhead, Neil Williams and teacher Marie Josse Levesque were unforgettable. Thanks to this internship, I’ve

received some first-hand research experience which will prove invaluable for my future studies. The internship program also offered interaction with other interns, including group trips and events. It was fun interesting to meet other dedicated students. Many thanks to all the people from Carleton University and Mody University for organising this program. I learned a lot and gained so much from this internship and I know it will continue to benefit more students. Hence I am really satisfied that I’ve achieved something more than expected.
