Department of Mechanical Engineering, SET, Mody University of Science and Technology Lakshmangarh organized a Student Solar Ambassador Workshop in collaboration with IIT Bombay. This workshop is the seed concept of the Gandhi Global Solar Yatra, aimed to sensitize the young (future) generations who will be bearing the maximum burden of climate change. This was a mega-global event, wherein more than 1 million students from over 180 countries participated.
The workshop was inaugurated with lamp lighting and an informative speech on the importance of solar energy in India by Prof. (Dr.) V. K. Jain, Dean, SET.
In the workshop, more than 150 students of SET, Mody University assembled their own solar study lamp from the kit provided by IIT Bombay. The main aim of the workshop was to provide basic knowledge about solar energy to the students. In the end, the workshop was concluded by Dr. Atul Kumar, Dr. Sanjeev Jakhar and Mr. Vikrant Sharma by giving vote of thanks to the participants, all master trainers and IIT Bombay.
