Approval of Indo-Argentina Joint Research Proposal

Dr. K. L. Ameta, Associate Professor in the College of Arts Sciences and Humanities, Mody University, has got the approval of an international project entitled “Applications of Bioactive Heterocycles In Drug Discovery: Pharmacological Significance of Some Synthetic and Natural Heterocycles Scaffold”. This Joint research project received the grants from MINCYT, Argentina and DST, India as a part of India-Argentina bilateral scientific and technological cooperation   to be solely used for travel between Argentina and India of researchers involved in specific tasks in the framework of joint project for next three years.

Dr. Ametahas got published around 40 research papers in journals of national and international repute. He has contributed in six books published by Springer, Nova Publishers, USA; Taylor & Francis, UK.in last a few years, and has been awarded International visiting scholarship by KhonKaen University, KhonKaen, Thailand.Dr. Ameta has very good experience of teaching both graduate and postgraduate students. His research focuses on the synthesis of hetero­cycles, naturally occurring compounds, and potentially bioactive molecules.In addition, he has keen interest in heterogeneous catalyzed organic synthesis and Photocatalysis. He has supervised four Ph. D students and two more are working under his supervision, using various aspects of Green Chemistry.
