IEEEXtreme is a global challenge in which teams of IEEE Student members – advised and

proctored by an IEEE member, and often supported by an IEEE Student Branch – compete in
a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems.
This event was organized at Mody University, School of Engineering and Technology, by
IEEE Mody University Student Chapter on 19 th October, 2019 at 5:30 a.m till 20 th October
2019 at 5:30 a.m. All the proceedings were carried out under the guidance of our Counsellor,
Dr. Jeetu Sharma, and our Faculty Advisor, Dr. Sunil Jangir.
On this occasion eight teams of IEEE members represented MUST and wrote programming
codes to solve various problem sets in different phases, for 24 hours non-stop. The
programmers were tested not only for their coding expertise, but also for the speed and
stamina in solving as many questions as possible.
There were 8 teams in all with a total of 16 participants. The MUST teams ranked well
among the worldwide participants.

1. Team Pyders- Kirti Choudhary
Shatakshi Singh
Rank- College-1
Regional- 78
Globally- 618

2. Team Quantan- Amisha Kumari
Rank- College-2
Regional- 95
Globally- 650

3. Team Error 404- Prachi Sighal
Khushi Maheshwari
Shalini Agarwal
Rank- College-3

Regional- 115
Globally- 850

For motivation to the participants, alumna of Mody University and currently
working in Accenture, Jayati Vijayvargayi shared a video talking about her experiences being
a part of IEEE and participating in IEEEXtreme. There was also a live interaction session with Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Vice Chairman, IEEE Rajasthan Subsection, Professor and HOD, Department of Electrical Engineering at MNIT,
Jaipur.

All in all this event achieved all that it had hoped for. This even helped the students to brush
up their coding skills which would help them in the long run.
